The purpose of this update (amendment) is to: 1. Define this requirement’s quantities (see page 2 embedded in W81K0220Q01270001). The required equipment will be rented on an "as needed" basis. 2. Clarify this requirement’s salient characteristics (see pages 3 and 4 embedded in W81K0220Q01270001). 3. Extend the closing date for the solicitation. The solicitation date will be extended from 4:00 AM Pacific Standard Time on 15 June 2020 to no later than 12:00 AM Pacific Standard Time on 18 June 2020. 4. Provide answers to questions that were submitted in response to this solicitation. See Questions and answers below: Question 1: Is there a specific quantity per each product/equipment or is this on a case by case basis? Answer: The required equipment we be rented “as needed". Estimated quantities can be found on page two of W81K0220Q01270001. Question 2: Is the government looking for a firm fixed price per each item, or again, is there a designated quantity in mind? Answer: The government will require a firm fixed price for each item. Estimated quantities can be found on page two of W81K0220Q01270001. 5. When responding to this solicitation, please follow the instructions in embedded in the original solicitation (Addendum to 52.212-1), return a signed copy of the solicitation (W81K0220Q0127), and return a sign copy of the amended solicitation (W81K0220Q01270001). The Government's requirement is to obtain medical grade bariatric beds and various bariatric accessories (e.g., recliners, wheelchairs, commodes...) for Madigan Army Medical Center, JB Lewis McChord (Tacoma) WA. The equipment is required for prevention or healing of bariatric adults and children of a certain weight base who are at risk for developing pressure ulcers or have an existing extensive stage 3 or 4 pressure ulcer. The accessories are required for bariatric patients to assist with activities of daily living, prevention of patient falls, and injury to caregivers. The beds and accessories will be rented on an "as-needed" basis.
