Clarifying questions based on the amendment to PWS 1.4.3.1: If the on-call services are aligned with daily schedules, does this mean that physicians are on-call while already at the facility? If not, are these 300 on-call hours meant for the physician to be on standby to report back to the facility or are they hours spent physically called back into the facility? Response: Yes, they are on-call while already at the facility. This is not your typical carry a beeper on-call. For this contract, on-call is synonymous with scheduled shifts. The physician is “on call” or “on shift” (which is same thing) during their scheduled duty day (typically 0600-1800). The 300 “call-back” hours for the Hospitalist and Nocturnist CLINs are for those rare occasions the physician is called back to the MTF. Would any of these on-call hours be telephone consultation only? Response: No, the 300 hours is for call back. The Government is soliciting an 8(a) competitive procurement. Therefore, only 8(a) certified Small Businesses will be considered. The Government anticipates awarding a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract with base period of six (6) months, 01 April 2022 through 30 September 2022, plus four (4), 12-month option years and one (6) six month option (through 31 March 2027). The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clause 52.217-8 “Option to Extend Services” and 52.217-9 “Option to Extend the Term of the Contract” is part of the resultant contract. The Government reserves the right to exercise or not exercise the option periods as specified. The North American Industrial Classification System NAICS Code is 621111- Offices of Physicians (except Mental Health Specialists), with a small business size standard $12 million.
