Contractor will provide the following product or service: Emergent and short notice delivery of radiopharmaceutical studies involving radioisotopes required for patient care. Technetium 99 metastable(Tc99m) is the isotope used in the majority of nuclear medicine procedures. Tc99m isproduced from a generator which has been determined to be too costly to housecompared to individual doses created and transported to RAHC. The nuclear medicinedepartment is currently unable to support a radioisotope generator. A half-life is definedas the time taken for the radioactivity of a specified isotope to fall to half its originalvalue. Tc99m has a half-life of 6 hours making it time sensitive when created from theradioisotope generator. Contractor must meet the following salient characteristics: Tc99m Unit Dose 0-5 mCi's Tc99m Unit Dose 5-25 mCi's Tc99m Calibration Source (above 25 mCi's) Tc99m Cardiolite (Sestamibi) Tc99m MDP Tc99m Choletec (Mebrofenin) Kinevac Single Use Vial Tc99m Sulfur Colloid I-123 NAL 200 uCi Sodium Iodide a. Must be able to be delivered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, within one and half hours after placement of call b. Must be able to make after hours delivery for emergent patients within one and half hours c. Must be able to provide items listed for patient cases d. Normal delivery must be between 0600-0700, Monday – Friday e. Must be able to provide quality control records, when requested f. Must be Joint Commission Accredited g. Pharmacy must be USP 825 compliant
