The Region Health Contract Office-C, Fort Hood, TX, has an upcoming requirement for a veterinary anesthesia unit with ventilator to support animal care for the Fort Leavenworth Surgical Suite, Munson Army Health Center (MAHC) located at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas 66027. This request is anticipated to result in a Firm Fixed-Priced contract. The projected type of solicitation will be Commercial, Firm Fixed Price, and be a 100% set aside for the Small Business Program. The delivery schedule is anticipated to be 30 days after contract award. REQUIRED CAPABILITIES MAHC has a need for the veterinary anesthesia unit with ventilator to support animal care. The vendor shall possess the authorization and capabilities to resource a new veterinary anesthesia unit with ventilator. The equipment shall possess a warranty. The vendor shall provide In-service with staff on operation of the veterinary anesthesia unit (w/ventilator) machine focusing on ventilator function, troubleshooting, active scavenging, and general machine function and maintenance. Supply requirement shall include a 1-day on-site assembly, training, and staff maintenance education (full day), travel, accommodation, and transportation. At a minimum, the veterinary anesthesia unit with ventilator shall meet all salient characteristics as identified in Attachment 1 - Veterinary Anesthesia Unit With Ventilator – 3JUN21. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 339112, “Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing” The Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 Employees. The solicitation is anticipated to be posted on or about 5 August 2021. Once open, the solicitation is projected to close on the seventh (7) calendar day. Interested parties are responsible for marking information that is proprietary in nature. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice or any follow up information requests. The Government is not obligated to, nor will it, pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this pre-solicitation notice. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. No subcontracting opportunity is anticipated. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. All interested businesses must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov to be eligible for award of Government contracts.
