Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central intends to issue a sole-source contract to BioMerieux, Inc. for lease of one (1) VITEK Microbial Identification and Susceptibility analyzer, lease of one (1) VITEK Mass Spectrometer analyzer, and reagents/consumables to perform testing for Gram positive Organism, Gram negative Organism, Anaerobic Organism, Yeast Organisms and Niesseria-Haemophilus Organisms. The analyzers must also support susceptibility for Streptococcus, Gram Positive, and Gram Negative Organisms in accordance with Clinical & Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI). This is for to the Department of Pathology at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Fort Bliss, Texas. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 621511, Medical Laboratories. The Small Business Administration's size standard for NAICS 621511 is $32.5M. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency before the intended award date. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
