The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central is issuing this Sources Sought Notice on behalf of San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), JBSA - Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Any responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be used for planning purposes only. Based on the responses to this notice, the requirement may be set-aside for small businesses, procured through full-and-open competition, or result in a sole-source contract. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339112 with a corresponding size standard of 1,000 employees. This notice is not a solicitation of offers, nor is it a notice to proceed. SAMMC has a requirement for a navigation bronchoscopy system. The navigational bronchoscopy system is required to improve the diagnostic and treatment capabilities for patients with lung cancer, lung infections and inflammatory lung diseases. The anticipated delivery date is 30 Sep 2020. The Navigational Bronchoscopy System must meet the below salient characteristics All or none: Provide navigational technology for planning and navigating to peripheral and central pulmonary nodules and lymph nodes under real time visualization Be able to use fluoroscopy and a locatable guide for real-time local registration to compensate for local CT-t-body divergence up to 3 cm Have a location board to improve the diagnostic accuracy of nodule sampling Be able to create an electromagnetic field allowing for real time CT chest overlay during the procedure to enhance diagnostic accuracy of nodule sampling Utilize a removable locatable guide Utilize 45 degree, 90 degree, 180 degree and 190 degree catheters that can be left in place to facilitate sequential biopsy of difficult to reach locations in the lung Employ catheters that allow for placement of fiducial markers Employ catheters with radiopaque material on the distal 2mm tip to allow for visualization under fluoroscopy Biomedical Tech Considerations: The system should function as a stand-alone piece of equipment in the bronchoscopy suite that will require power through a standard electrical outlet. The locatable guide is inserted through the bronchoscope and the guide board is placed under the procedure table. The patient’s CT scan is copied onto a compact disk that is inserted into the system’s computer to allow for real time nodule locations. If your organization has the potential capacity to provide the Navigational Bronchoscopy System above, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, e-mail address, Web site address, telephone number, and size (small versus large business, and any other socio-economic categories) and type of ownership for the organization; 2) Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of organizational capability, to include proof of authorization to provide supplies and analyzer as well as maintenance and repair services on above-listed equipment. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this notice is purely voluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. Contractors responding to this sources sought notice are advised their response does not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards.
