Synopsis: The purpose of this sources sought notice is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219 with a corresponding size standard of $22M. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HUBZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The Regional Health Contracting Office-Central, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is seeking potential sources to provide Annual Preventive Maintenance of Hologic Mammography System that performs mammograms on potential breast cancer patients’ biopsies within the organization. The mammography system includes, but is not limited to, viewing stations for the doctors, servers, a specimen radiography system, and breast extraction equipment. This system is used at the Radiology Department located at San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), Joint Base San Antonio – Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Salient Characteristics for this requirement: Clinically proven to deliver a more comfortable mammogram. Improves the patient experience with a curved compression surface that mirrors the shape of the breast, for a more even compression. Designed to improve visibility of fine details for greater diagnostic confidence. Enables technologists to conduct fast, efficient exams and accelerate reading time to streamline workflow. Sharper images and smarter technologies continue to make it simple to find invasive cancers – regardless of age or breast density. Only the 3D Mammography exam has been proven to detect 20-65% more invasive cancer than 2D alone. The 3D Mammography exam is the only mammogram proven to be superior in women with dense breasts.
