The Gastroenterologist Division at Baynes-Jones Army Community Hospital at Fort Polk, Louisiana utilizes the Gastro-Intestinal (GI) Endoscopy Reporting Software to create reports with images, referral letters and discharge instructions for patients. Additionally, this software generates pathology requests, write prescriptions and print a patient list summaries complete with ICD-9 (International Classification of Diseases) and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes. This software benefits both the surgeon and patient. The surgeon has the ability to scan their procedures and capture/focus on specific areas in the GI tract providing a higher quality outcome for the patient.
