Lake Washington Ship Canal has a requirement for the replacement of the existing 100-year old miter gate leaves which will require removal and disposal of the old gates and fabrication/delivery of two (2) new gate leaves. Each new gate leaf is estimated to weigh approximately 375,000 lbs. Horizontal and vertical concrete removal will be required to remove the existing gate quoin blocks, pintles, and gate anchorage embedded metals. The magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000.
