The government requires a five-year firm-fixed-price IDIQ contract for inspection and overhaul of the CH-47 Controllable Swashplate (NSN 1615-01-395-0006, P/N 145R3551-17), with estimated quantities from 10 to 168 each, including 28 for Foreign Military Sales. Overhaul must restore unserviceable assets to like-new, airworthy condition in accordance with DMWR 55-1615-297, Revision 3/30/2012, Change 1. Because the item is a Critical Safety Item, only SRD-approved vendors are qualified; currently these are Overhaul Support Services LLC, Airtronics Inc., and The Boeing Company, though other capable parties are encouraged to pursue a Source Approval Request. Interested parties should respond with their business size and socioeconomic status as applicable. An RFP will be issued at a later date, and the requirement is currently unfunded with award withheld pending receipt of sufficient funds.
