This contract action is for a single award, five-year Maintenance and Overhaul (M&O) contract. The contractor shall furnish all services, facilities, labor, parts, materials, equipment, tools, and data necessary to accomplish the inspection and overhaul for the following assets: NOMENCLATURE: Support Shock Strut and High-Performance Shock Strut Noun: Support Shock Strut Input NSN: 1620-01-610-1094 PN: 1168189-105 NSN: 1620-01-465-9232 PN: 1168100-507 NSN: 1620-01-610-3206 PN: 1168189-101 Output NSN: 1620-01-610-1094 PN: 1168189-105 Estimated Quantity: 40 minimum / 240 maximum (40 FMS) NOUN: HIGH PERFORMANCE SHOCK STRUT Input NSN: 1620-01-535-3515 PN: 1168100-509 Output NSN: 1620-01-535-3515 PN: 1168100-509 Estimated Quantity: 40 minimum / 240 maximum (40 FMS) The SSS and the HPSS are Critical Safety Items (CSI) as defined by DFARS 209.270-2. As such, the overhaul can only be performed by an approved source. No Depot Maintenance Requirement (DMWR) has been identified for this requirement. Currently the known approved sources for the overhaul of the SSS and the HPSS are The Boeing Company (CAGE Code: 8V613) 5000 East McDowell Rd., Mesa, AZ. 85215-9707, and Goodrich Aerospace Canada LTD, CAGE Code 02KZ1, 5415 North Service Rd, Burlington, ON l7l 5h7. Contractors are encouraged to seek Source Approval Request (SAR) to become an approved source by submitting documentation in accordance with the M&O SAR Guidance. Additional information on SAR process is located at https://www.avmc.army.mil/Directorates/SRD/SAR/. The solicitation will not open prior to the closing date stated on the synopsis.
