This announcement does not constitute a Request for Proposals (RFP). This announcement is in support of market research to determine the feasibility of a competitive acquisition and to identify potential sources that can provide the Overhaul/Repair & Return of the following item: NOMENCLATURE: Inertial Boresight INPUT NSN: 6650-01-622-9758 6650-01-656-2050 OUTPUT NSN: 6650-01-656-2050 INPUT P/N: 7-562363100-605 7-562363100-613 OUTPUT P/N: 7-562363100-613 ESTIMATED QUANTITY RANGE: Minimum 12 each – Maximum 72 each (Maximum includes a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Quantity of 12 each) The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333314, Optical Instrument and Lens Manufacturing, and the size standard is 500 employees. The Inertial Boresight Adapter is NOT a Critical Safety Item (CSI). No Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) is available to support the overhaul of the Inertial Boresight. Currently the only known approved source for the overhaul of the Inertial Boresight, is The Boeing Company (CAGE: 8V613). Contractors are encouraged to seek Source Approval Request (SAR) in order to become an approved source by submitting documentation in accordance with the Maintenance and Overhaul (M&O) SAR Guidance. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. This announcement does not constitute a RFP. If the Government determines it has a firm requirement for the overhaul of the Inertial Boresight, a synopsis will be issued at a later date for this requirement. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requested. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this announcement or Government use of any information provided. This announcement does not restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition strategy. The Government reserves the right to consider acquisition strategies as deemed appropriate.
