NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. This Sources Sought Announcement is in support of market research to determine feasibility of a competitive acquisition and to identify potential sources. The Contractor, as an independent Contractor, and not as an agent or employee of the Government, shall furnish all services, facilities, labor, parts, materials, equipment, tools, and data (other than Government Furnished Property), necessary to accomplish the inspection and overhaul for the following: NOMENCLATURE: Actuator Assembly Weapon System: CH-47 Chinook Input NSN: 1680-01-118-5605 Input P/N: 145CS100-7, SYLC50480-70 Output NSN: 1680-01-118-5605 Output P/N: SYLC50480-70 Estimated Qty Range: 10 Minimum– 180 Maximum Type of Contract: Firm Fixed Price (FFP) 3 Year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336413 and the size standard is 1,250 employees. The Actuator Assembly is a Critical Safety Item (CSI) and must be overhauled by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or other approved sources. Therefore, the requirement is restricted to Boeing Helicopter Inc (CAGE Code: 77272) and GE Aviation Systems LLC (CAGE Code: 05624). Contractors are encouraged to seek Source Approval Request (SAR) in order to become an approved source by submitting documentation in accordance to with the AMCOM Maintenance and Overhaul SAR Guidance. These procedures are outlined at the following website: https://www.avmc.army.mil/Directorates/SRD/SAR/. Questions concerning SAR submission can be directed to the M&O SAR Team via email: usarmy.redstone.ccdc-avmc.mbx.ed-sar@mail.mil. The solicitation will not close prior to the date stated on the solicitation. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and should not be constructed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. This announcement does not constitute a RFP. A synopsis will be issued at a later date for this requirement. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requested. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as result of a response to this announcement or Government use of any information provided. The Government reserves the right to consider acquisition strategies as deemed appropriate. Foreign firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. All responsible sources may submit a proposal shall be considered by the Agency.
