This announcement is in support of market research to determine the feasibility of a competitive acquisition and to identify potential sources that can provide the upgrade/overhaul of the following item: NOMENCLATURE: Mechanical Transmission INPUT NSNs: 1615-01-305-2375/1615-01-538-9786 OUTPUT NSN: 1615-01-538-9786 INPUT P/Ns: 70351-48100-041/70351-48100-042 OUTPUT P/Ns: 70351-48100-042 ESTIMATED QUANTITY RANGE: Minimum 140 each – Maximum 840 each (Maximum includes a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Quantity of 140 each) The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336413 and the size standard is 1,250 employees. Interested parties who have the capability to perform the above effort should respond to this notice and identify your business size and socio-economic status as applicable. All submissions must include full company name, Point of Contacts (POCs) to include, name, position, office and mobile telephone numbers and email address. DMWR 1-1615-372, Revision Date 5/30/2018, has been identified for this effort; however, the Mechanical Transmission is a Critical Safety Item (CSI). Pursuant to the provisions of Public Law No. 108-136, National Defense Authorization Act Fiscal Year 2004, Section 802, Quality Control in Procurement of Aviation CSI and Related Services, as implemented for acquisition by Department of Defense Regulation Supplement (DFARS 209-270), contracts for modification, repair, or overhaul of a CSI can only be awarded to a source approved by AED. Only the following source is currently listed as an approved source for this effort: Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, 6900 Main St., Stratford, CT 06614-1378 (CAGE Code 78286). Contractors are encouraged to seek Source Approval Requests (SAR) in order to become an approve source by submitting documentation in accordance with the Competition Advocate's Shopping List procedures.
