NO TELEPHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. The Army Contracting Command - Redstone proposes to issue solicitation number W58RGZ-19-R-0076 for a new Purchase Order Firm Fixed Price. This requirement is for the purchase of 9 each HGU-56/P Rotary Wing Helmets (RWH) with an option for an additional 9 HGU-56/P RWHs for PM Air Warrior. The action is for the contractor to design and build a set of inserts using the Alia Mentis Casidion Foam in lieu of the current Foam Liner. Pursuant to 10 United States Code (U.S.C.) 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)" Only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements". This proposed contract action which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source: Gentex Corporation, CAGE CODE: 97427, 324 Main St. Simpson, PA 18407-1182 Commercial and Government Entity. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or submit a proposal. This is NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTES. However, all proposals received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
