DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: This is s Design-Build project. The scope of work consists in the installation of an artificial grass sports field, instead of the existing grass sports field. The track surrounding the pitch must remain in use during construction. The artificial turf pitch will include striping for soccer and American football; the delimitation of two 7vs7 or 8vs8 soccer fields is also envisaged. The stripes will be of appropriate colors to easily differentiate activities. The new field will occupy a rectangular surface, with the necessary dimensions. The lunettes inside the athletics track, outside the new field, will remain in natural grass METHOD OF CONTRACTING: This is a Request for Proposal resulting in a Firm-Fixed Price type contract. ISSUANCE OF SOLICITATION: To be determined. A notice will be posted on SAM.GOV RESPONSE DATE: 30 March 2022, 12:00 PM “noon” (Local time, Rome, Italy) (Due-in date for the submittal of offer). PERFORMANCE PERIOD: The Performance Period will be the following: Design Phase: 120 calendar days Construction Phase: 180 calendar days WORK MAGNITUDE: Between $500,000 (Euro 435,150.00) and $1,000,000 (Euro 870,300.00) SOA: Category OS6 class III OR Category OS24 class III: in case the contractor is not SOA qualified Category OS6 the installation of artificial turf is required to be executed by a subcontractor SOA qualified Category OS6 class III. FUNDING: This project is funded. SITE VISIT: A site visit will be held on 09 March 2022, 09:00 hrs. The meeting point will be at Gate #4 (Camp Darby Gate), Via Vecchia Livornese, San Piero a Grado (Pisa). HOW TO PARTICIPATE: In order to participate to the site all interested parties are invited to indicate their interest by submitting an e-mail not later than Close of Business (COB) 03 February 2022 to the following e-mail address: Sonia.zanobini2.ln@army.mil Please indicate in your e-mail the Project Number/Title: “Project AD1-00137-8P Multi-purpose field installation Camp Darby Area”; the name of the company; the address; the phone number; the fax number; the e-mail address and the name of person(s) (maximum two) who will be present at the site visit. A legible copy of the identification document(s) has to be provided. If the person(s) has\/have entry pass (es), a copy of the pass/passes has/have to be provided. Only the person(s) who has/have provided the personal data would be allowed to attend the site visit. The Guards will check the identification card at the gate. The offeror(s) not present on the list will be denied the entrance to the base. Not indicating interest as described above does not preclude the offeror from participating in this requirement.
