DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: Design-Bid-Build (DBB) construction project for the repair and upgrade of various roads in the Ammunition Storage Area, Camp Darby, Tirrenia (Pisa), Italy. This repair and upgrade project consists of road enlargement of about 2.00 m of the road platform. The new roads will have horizontal and vertical signs. New fauna underpasses will be realized below the roads. The underpasses will be realized as reinforced concrete channels. The crossing between two roads will be realized with a reinforced concrete rigid pavement. A new Communication System will be realized along the new roads (only civil works). Manholes and handholes will be placed. The Communication line will be realized with 4 pipes PVC DN125 SCHEDULE 40 along the main roads and with 2 pipes PVC DN125 SCHEDULE 40 for the building connections. FUNDING: The project is not funded LOCATION OF THE WORK: The site of the proposed work is Ammunition Storage Area, Camp Darby, Tirrenia (Pisa), Italy MAGNITUDE OF THE PROJECT: The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. METHOD OF CONTRACTING: This will be a Request for Proposal resulting in a firm fixed price contract. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: The Performance Period will be 365 calendar days SOA: Contractor is required to be SOA OG3 Classification IV Qualified SITE VISIT: The site visit will be held on 14 June 2021 at 10:00 hour at the Main Gate no. 4 Camp Darby, Tirrenia (Pisa), Italy.
