This is a Market Survey to locate potential source for repair and production of the AN/ASN-157 Doppler Navigation Set (DNS), NSN: 6605-01-323-9061, P/N P510A003-02. These items were produced sole source by BAE Systems, Wayne, New Jersey, CAGE 0D0D0. Detailed technical data for this item is not available from the Army. Any sources capable of perform the required tasks must so indicate, by writing to US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), C5ISR Center’s Product Realization Systems Engineering and Quality Directorate (PRSE&Q), ATTN: RDER-PRA-AB(LOUIE), Building 6007, 3rd Floor, F3-140-090, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005. Companies must demonstrate that they had past experience of produce and repair these items. The lead time requirement for repair these items is 6 months from the Date of the Contract. The response must demonstrate intimate knowledge of the system including areas such as system design, interface requirements, test and fault isolation, product acceptance processes, projected parts/materials usage and the necessary special test equipment. The response must also demonstrate that the finished products will be able to obtain Airworthiness certification. Successful supplier is require to warrant that the item will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements; substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. The Army Contracting Command- Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) intends to award a firm-fixed priced contract to BAE Systems in support of Communication Electronics Command (CECOM) Integrated Logistics Supports Center (ILSC) – Enterprise Solider Aviation (ESA) . The anticipated contract is for the procurement of hardware spares and repair services for the AN/ASN-157 Doppler Navigation Set (DNS). The projected period of performance is from September 28, 2021 to September 27, 2022, with four option years thereafter. The AN/ASN-157 DNS is a key sensor component used to provide highly accurate, three-dimensional velocity and navigation data on various aircraft platforms, including the AH-64D/E Longbow Apache, MH-47E Chinook, and MH-60K Blackhawk helicopters This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses or proposals received before the closing of this announcement shall be considered.
