GVSC’s Immersive Simulation Directorate has developed an in-house simulation capability utilizing the Unreal Engine software. GVSC-Immersive Simulation utilizes this capability to : (1) develop and execute Soldier-in-the-loop experiments on Immersive Simulation’s 6-DOF motion base simulators utilizing crew station mock-ups and representative vehicle hardware and controls; (2) develop and execute large scale (100+ participants) soldier Virtual Experiments utilizing keyboard/mouse controls; (3) develop and execute Robotic and Autonomy System Simulation tools that integrate vehicle autonomy systems with the simulation environment for Autonomous Vehicle development and testing; and (4) develop, integrate and evaluate emerging Crew Station technologies for potential inclusion in future Crew Station project development efforts.
