This Statement of Work (SOW) defines the effort required for purchasing commercial off the shelf special tools need for the kit. Background. PIF (Prototype Integration Facility) has been initiated to purchase and fabricate Special Tools and Test Equipment for the Buffalo Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP). These special tools and test equipment kits contained specialized tools required to maintain and work on the Buffalo vehicle. These tools on this contract are a long lead item and are urgently needed for fielding vehicles. Express shipping is authorized from storage facility in France. REQUIREMENTS. 3.1 General. The vendor shall supply the following item required by this contract and shall be manufactured by AxleTech Genuine / Meritor Defense products. Items are brand name. 3.2 Detail Tasks. 3.2.1 Fabrication. The contractor shall provide the following parts per the specifications and options listed below: Part Number: E5297AT Description: Wrench, Spanner QTY: 8 Part Number: A5272 Description: Inserter Bearing & Bushing QTY: 8 3.2.2 Quantity. The contractor shall produce the following quantity of each part: Part Number: E5297AT qty-8 Part Number: A5272 qty-8 3.2.3 Delivery. The contractor shall make every attempt to deliver the product in the shortest amount of time, using express shipment and overtime to meet schedule. Penalty cause for late delivery may be exercised to ensure delivery dates. 3.2.4 Item Identification. The contractor shall apply Item Identification on each part, including part number, description, and quantity on each outer box each part is wrapped in. NOTICE OF TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE NOTICE: THE CONTRACTOR WHO CAN DELIVER THE FASTEST, WILL WIN THE CONTRACT. BUT IF THE FASTEST DELIVERY TIME IS ONLY WEEK OR TWO SOONER, BUT DOUBLE THE PRICE OF THE SECOND FASTEST, PRICE WILL DICTATE WINNER TO BE THE SECOND FASTEST CONTRACTOR TO WIN THE CONTRACT.
