TEREX Corporation (16) Description. “The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) intends to award a three-year Firm Fixed Price requirements contract under solicitation W56HZV-21-R-0132, for Contractor Field Service Representative (FSR) support. The FSRs shall support MAC 50T Crane to provide continued support of the MAC 50T Crane in the US Central Command (CENTCOM) Area of Operations (AOR). This proposed contract will establish one base year period with an additional two 12-month ordering periods as options, for a total potential contract length of three years. This action will be on a sole source basis with Independent TEREX, Corporation of Fredericksburg, VA. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Specifically, FAR 6.302-1(a)(2 (iii) “For DoD, NASA, and the Coast Guard, services may be deemed to be available only from the original source in the case of follow-on contracts for the continued provision of highly specialized services when it is likely that award to any other source would result in-- (B) Unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency’s requirements.” The Army’s need to maintain FSR sustainment services on the MAC 50T Cranes is critical to the safety of US military and support personnel as well as the protection of military equipment from hostile actions. TEREX, Corporation is the only company able to supply these specialized services without causing an unacceptable delay to the Government. This is a notice of intent, not a request for competitive proposals, or a solicitation of offers. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. A determination not to compete this proposed contract action, upon response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The point of contact for this action is Tyron S.
