This solicitation is for the purchase of the Joint Service General Purpose Mask (JSGPM) systems and spare components (M50, M51, M53, and M53A1 Chemical Biological Masks). The M50 and the M51 are lightweight, protective mask systems used to protect personnel against an actual or anticipated Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) threat. The M53A1 is a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) certified full-face piece Air-Purifying Respirator (APR) mask system used to protect Special Operation personnel against an actual or anticipated CBRN threat. The M53A1 mask system will replace the M53 mask system through attrition. In accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 12.102(f)(1), this action will be streamlined and expedited using commercial acquisition procedures. This solicitation is sole source to Avon Protection Systems, Inc.; 503 8th Street, Cadillac, MI 49601-1370; CAGE Code: 1LEW5.
