The Water Bison consists of a 500 to 600 ga... As currently envisioned, the Water Bison is a replacement for the legacy 400 gallon Water Buffalo. A second variant, the Water Bison Lite, is also required. The Water Bison consists of a 500 to 600 gallon baffled capacity tank. The Bison Lite consists of a 250 to 300 gallon baffled capacity tank. Both the Water Bison and Water Bison Lite systems are trailer mounted and include integrated freeze prevention. They provide the modular force an efficient method of transporting a full day of supply (DOS) for various sized U.S. Army Units. The Water Bison and Water Bison Lite will receive, distribute, store, and dispense potable water by means of gravity flow. Units at all echelons will use the Water Bison and Water Bison Lite.
