This requirement is for an Anchoring Device/ Enhanced Speed Bag The ESBS is designed to enhance the current method of free-dropping supplies into areas where typical resupply methods are impractical. The other benefit with this type of deployment is pinpoint accuracy where the terrain and/or the environment are not suitable for current methods of aerial delivery, such as jungle, mountainous and/or urban environments which can deliver supplies accurately from 100 feet without requiring helicopters to linger. The Enhanced Speed bag System consists of three major components, a brake descender device, rope (aka speed line), and cargo bag. Components are assembled with a variety of fasteners with machined and or fabricated textile components to complete the assembly. A complete Technical Data Package is available for review and manufacture of the components to the specifications as stated in the TDP. The Cargo and Personnel Lowering Anchoring Device is a textile and hardware anchor device used in rotary wing aircraft to attach the Universal Snap hook Static Line and a variety of other assemblies utilized for static line and cargo parachute operations. The assembly consists of a 13 foot long Type XXVI webbing strap with a friction adapter sewn in place, eight heavy duty D-rings and four identical snap hooks with safety wire and lanyards. The assembly is manufactured per the government owned Technical Drawing Package (TDP).
