The U.S. Army is conducting market research to identify potential sources for the Pump Rack Module (PRM) manufactured to ATPD 2321D along with the supporting hardware and logistics package. It does not constitute a solicitation or a request for proposal (RFP) and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses in any form are not offers and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. The Government will not pay for information solicited. Any information submitted by respondents to this announcement is strictly voluntary. Currently, the U.S. Army acquires the PRM from DRS Sustainment Systems Inc. (CAGE: 98255). It's the Government's belief that only DRS Sustainment Systems Inc., the manufacturer of the parts, and/or its dealers and distributors can furnish the tested and approved required parts and ensure proper fit, form and function of all its components manufactured to ATPD 2312D. However, other potential sources can submit information concerning their capability to supply the PRM system. This information will be used to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Potential sources who propose to manufacture the system that meet ATPD 2321D must either: 1) Demonstrate that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured and successfully passed Government Test; or 2) Complete and provide current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e., salient physical, functional and serviceability characteristics). The submission of a technical data package for review will not impede the award of this requirement, but may qualify the proposer for follow on acquisitions of the specific part numbers offered. Other potential sources having the expertise and required capabilities to furnish the above items are invited to submit complete information discussing such capabilities in duplicate within the closing date noted in the post. Responses must be concise and specifically directed to the requirement mentioned above. Respondents to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to provide the above items.
