Request for Information: Modular-Catastrophic Recovery System (MCRS) Winch Control Kits (WCKs) PREFACE: The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to determine if there are entities with the ability to deliver the Modular-Catastrophic Recovery System (MCRS) Winch Control Kits (WCKs) (Tru-Hitch, Inc. Part Number 03104) to be installed on the prime mover, the M983A4 Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) Light Equipment Transporter (LET). In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201 (e), the United States Government (USG) does not presently intend to award a contract, but wants to obtain price, delivery, other market information, or capabilities for planning purposes. A response to this notice is not an offer and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Per FAR 52.215-3, Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes: (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. (b) Although "proposal" and "offeror" are used in this RFI, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) This RFI is for planning and market research purposes only and should not be considered as a request for proposal or as a solicitation to do business with the Government. DESCRIPTION OF OBJECTIVE: The Product Manager, Heavy Tactical Vehicles (PdM HTV) is conducting this RFI to assess the marketplace availability for providing 32 each MCRS WCKs. SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the requests listed in this RFI are invited to submit a response to this RFI by 20 November 2020.
