C. 1 Project Description: Installation of Direct Current (DC) Busway & Combiner Cabinets for Test Cell 4 &5 rated at 1000volt, 2500amp, Circuit Breaker protected at 2000amp. C.2 Objective The US Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) intends to complete the following project per the requirements below. The Government is requesting a Design/Build proposal for the design, fabrication, and installation of a DC Busway & Combiner Cabinets for Test Cell 4 &5 rated at 1000volt, 2500amp. The Contractor shall provide a design/build proposal to design, fabricate, furnish, and install, five (5) fused Disconnects, two (2) DC combiner cabinets, and two (2) busways rated at 1000volts, 2500amp each into Test Cell 4 & Test Cell 5 per the 2020 edition of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70, the NEC (National Electrical Code), and industry standards. The Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, rigging, and labor to install per the specifications and requirements below. Government supplied conceptual design drawings are provided as reference documents in the attachment. The conceptual design includes the intent of design and approximate locations of equipment.
