The Center for Museum History (CMH) and Army Contracting Command-Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) are conducting a market survey to identify small businesses capable of providing Museum Exhibit Fabrication and Installation Services at the 1st Infantry Division Museum and the United States Cavalry Museum in Fort Riley, Kansas. This effort is in support of the Army Museum Enterprise (AME) mission to collect, preserve, interpret, and display historical military material, culture, and artifacts. The need for this requirement is the result of the museum building undergoing a complete renovation to upgrade its systems to meet current museum standards and Americans with Disability Act requirements. The services will include preparing shop drawings, fabricating all exhibit components, packing, shipping and installation of historic objects into those components, and performing the final focusing of lighting.
