Posting Amendment One to RFP W56HZV-21-R-L032 along with responses to the RFP questions. The Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) intends to competitively award, under a Total Small Business Set-Aside, a new Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for Exhibit Design services. The award will consist of 11-month base period. The Period of Performance will be from 01 June 2021 through 30 April 2022. This effort is in support of the Army Museum Enterprise (AME) mission to collect, preserve, interpret, and display historical military material, culture, and artifacts. The museum has a rotunda (4950 sf) that will feature an introduction and four dioramas: (1) a Buffalo soldier on horseback; (2) a World War I (WWI) tank; (3) a small reconnaissance helicopter; and (4) a drone. In the galleries (12,424 sf), the approximate number of section, sub-section, and diorama text panels is 132. The estimated number of graphic images is 275. The estimated number of artifacts is 163. Among these are 16 “macro artifacts—those mentioned in the rotunda, plus 3 more tanks (1 outdoors); 2 helicopters; 1 motorcycle; 1 dirt bike; a Jeep; an M10 Tank Destroyer; a Bradley Fighting Vehicle; a Stryker Armored Fighting Vehicle; a High-Mobility, Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV); and a Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected Vehicle (MRAP). The aggregate exhibit space is 14,000 square feet, including 1/3 of the rotunda space. In addition, an Exhibit Plan (ANNEX A) in Microsoft Word reproduces almost all of the proposed text, illustrates the artifacts (with their dimensions) and graphics, lists the interactive, and audio visual (AV) and components, and includes “Design Notes” for the benefit of the eventual designer.
