THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE/SYNOPSIS: The Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price, non-commercial Request for Proposal (RFP) in accordance with FAR 6.302(-1(a)(2)(ii)(A), The RFP is for a five (5) year Requirements Contract for the Inspection and Repair of the Water Heater 400, P/N: 111244, NSN: 4520-01-566-6669. The sole-source entity for this requirement is PVI Industries, LLC (PVI) CAGE 51419). The RFP will be issued on or around (12/15/2023) and will close on or around (01/15/2024). This RFP will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and FAR 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Responses will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. The Government is not committed to issue a solicitation or award a contract as a result of this announcement. Army Contracting Command - DTA is seeking qualified and capable potential vendors. Since this is a sources-sought synopsis and not a solicitation for receipt of proposals or quotations, the Government does not encourage questions concerning this market research. The primary NAICS code is to be used for this effort is 335999 All Other Miscellaneous Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing. The Government is seeking to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of the community, to include both small and large businesses. The Contractors must be knowledgeable of the Water Heater 400,000 BTU. The Water Heater 400 equipment will comply with the requirements outlined in MIL-PRF-32242, dated 31 MAR 2007. If your company is interested and can demonstrate the firm’s ability, capability, and responsibility to deliver the equipment summarized above, we encourage you to respond to this announcement with a statement of your qualifications and capability, and completion of the sources sought document and updated survey attached.
