Description of Intent This notice is to gauge the availability of vendors that are capable and interested in meeting the Government’s requirement for a follow-on Repair Maintenance Action (RMA) for depot level repair services of the Extending Mount for the Surveillance Camera Assembly (Part # E2455-3080) and PATCO Lithium Battery (Part # 3875-1600) for the ANDROS F6a and Air Force Medium Size Robots (AFMSR) for the ANDROS HD-2 Robot systems, respectively. Robot Logistic Support Center (RLSC) technicians are currently unable to repair the Extending Mount and Battery in-house due to lack of experience and absence of particular repair equipment. II. General Information: The Government is issuing this amendment to the Sources Sought Notice released on Beta.SAM on 07 December 2020 as a means of conducting market research only to identify parties having interest and resources to support this requirement. The information gained will be used for preliminary planning and to determine the availability of qualified contractors to complete depot level repair services on the ANDROS F6a Robot System’s Extending Mount for the Surveillance Camera Assembly and ANDROS HD-2 Robot System’s PATCO Lithium Battery. The information received will be used by the Government to facilitate the decision-making process and will not be disclosed outside of the agency. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for costs incurred with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research. Respondents will not be notified of the results regarding the market research survey. If a solicitation is issued subsequent to this notice, it will be posted to Beta.SAM. Remotec, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the ANDROS F6a and ANDROS HD-2 Robot Systems, owns the Technical Data Packages (TDPs) for the aforementioned robot systems and parts being serviced. The Government has limited rights to this technical data which was developed exclusively at private expense. Any ensuing contract would be a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), senior technician labor category utilizing nominal components to perform the depot level repair services on the identified parts. The period of performance is anticipated to be up to four years from the date of award. The Government will coordinate with the contractor all RMA actions at least three business days in advance prior to shipping any part to the contractor for a potential RMA effort. The contractor shall ensure that all RMA actions comply in all respects with to the manufacturer’s performance requirements for each part number. III. Submission Instructions: All vendors responding to this notice shall provide specific information to include a summary of their company’s capabilities. Information to be provided shall include a Capability Statement, which demonstrates the vendor’s skills, experience, knowledge, and capabilities necessary to meet the Government's requirement for RMA depot level repair services of the aforementioned parts and include, but not limited to, a description of corporate experience with similar projects. The vendor shall address how it plans to ensure the RMA level of repair services shall comply with the manufacturer’s performance requirements for each of these two parts. The Robot Logistic Support Center (RLSC) technicians currently repair all of the parts on the aforementioned robots, however, due to current lack of experience and absence of particular repair equipment there are approximately a dozen parts the RLSC technicians cannot currently repair in-house. General Information: Project Manager Force Projection Robot Logistic Support Center (FP-RLSC) is issuing a Sources Sought Notice as means of conducting market research only to identify parties having interest and resources to support this requirement. Information received from respondents will aid in the decision of whether to issue a solicitation as a competitive set-aside for qualified Small Businesses, Vendors with GSA Schedules or whether to issue the requirement as unrestricted full and open competition.
