This is a market survey. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, nor is it a request seeking contractors to be placed on a solicitation mailing list. Response to this market survey is voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey and any follow?on information requests. Data submitted in response to this market survey will not be returned. No solicitation document exists at this time, and calls requesting a solicitation will not be answered. The contractor shall provide sound masking and mitigation techniques through the use of white noise machines and/or other methods to be installed in a secure/sensitive room. The contractor will be responsible for installing all equipment, wiring, electrical, to code and standards set forth utilizing the room dimensions and information below. Upon completion of the installation of the equipment, the room is to be placed in the state it currently is in (holes are caulked and sealed, room is cleaned, etc.) The room currently has a STC rating of 37, and the room requires a STC rating of 45. The room is approximately 18'-8" long by 12' -8" wide. The acoustic ceiling is 8' above the floor. The receiving room volume is 1894 ft. Room is made up of: demising wall -1-layer 5/8" Type X gypsum board, 3-5/8' steel studs 20 Ga with 3-1/2' batt insulation in cavity, 1-layer 5/8' Type X gypsum board. The attachment titled, "SIPR room.pdf" can be utilized to gauge the layout of the room. A speaker would need to be installed on all sides of the room, and one above the door. The transmitter of the white noise to the speakers would have to be installed above the ceiling tiles in the secure room. After the install is complete, the contractor shall perform a new sound test, providing the Government a copy of a sound test report that the room meets an STC rating of 45.
