The Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal is seeking Firm-Fixed Price proposals for the production of the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) Assembly used in the M88 Series Hercules Recovery Vehicle; NSN: 6115-01-465-8922; P/N 12367093. This requirement is 100% set-aside for Small Businesses under NAICS Code 335312, Motor and Generator Manufacturing. The Government anticipates award as an Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contract with a three-year ordering period. An estimated initial order of 105 APUs will be deliverable at a rate of 20 units per month with the first shipment arriving 270 days after award. Subsequent orders, if any, will purchase additional APUs deliverable at a similar rate, up to a total of approximately 240 APUs over the life of the Contract. This requirement involves a First-Article Test (FAT), test equipment designed to simulate vehicle use scenarios, and extensive use of source-directed components. Offerors are encouraged to request and review the Technical Data Package thoroughly and early in the solicitation process. The Technical Data Package (TDP) is competitive, Distribution Code D. An Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) and Notice of Revision (NOR) have been added by Amendment 0001 to this Solicitation. These files are available via the SAM.gov download system. Amendment 0002 to to this Solicitation reduces the Government's minimum quantity commitment and extends the solicitation response deadline to 29 May 2020, as shown in BetaSam.
