SYNOPSIS: The US Army, Product Director, Army Watercraft Systems (PD AWS) intends to procure two new Modular Causeway System (MCS) Modular Warping Tug (MWT) and Causeway Ferry (CF) vessels, to address a requirement shortfall. This Request for Information (RFI) is intended to gather industry input regarding existing capabilities for new procurement options. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation nor does it imply or guarantee one shall be issued in the future. Also, it is not a request seeking contractors interested in being placed on a solicitation mailing list. Response to this RFI is voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to the RFI and any follow-on information requests. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued.
