This procurement will be restricted to L3 Technologies, Inc., (CAGE 02978) of Muskegon, Michigan for the Transmission HMPT Operational Reliability (THOR) HMPT 800 Series transmissions, ancillary hardware, and System Technical Support (STS) to support the Bradley Fighting Vehicle System (BFVS), Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS), Paladin Integrated Management (PIM) Vehicle Platform and the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV). The Justification and Approval was approved by the U.S. Army Senior Procurement Executive on 27 November 2018. The contract will be for five years (one base year plus four option years) from Fiscal Year (FY) 20 to FY25. The contract will have hardware on a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) basis and STS on a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) Completion and Level of Effort (LOE) basis. L3 Technologies, Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the HMPT 800 Series transmissions and will be responsible for providing new, remanufactured, reset, upgraded, repaired, and spare transmissions, as well as ancillary hardware or kits common or unique to each platform (e.g., Transmission Control Module (TCM), Transmission, Electronically Controlled (TEC) Cable, and Shift Tower). All transmissions are available with or without a container. STS efforts will include engineering and technical services to support the needs of the aforementioned vehicle platforms. STS will al so include engineering services support and transmission Field Service Representative (FSR) support. Delivery of the transmission will begin 12 months after receipt of order. The cumulative production and STS estimates, over the 5 year period, are up to 4,275 transmissions (plus ancillary hardware at varying quantities) and up to 405,090 hours of STS support. Production Inspection/Acceptance will be origin and FOB will Destination.
