Hematite (Ferric Oxide, Iron (III) Oxide) The purpose of this Sources Sought is to find potential sources for Hematite with a granulation resembling coarse sand. This mineral is dark brown/black in color, with a hint of red. Key attributes are the granulation shall be: No 12 Mesh Min 99.9% No. 20 Mesh Min 95% No. 50 Mesh Max 70% No. 140 Mesh Max 10% *The granulation requirements are those % passing any one sieve fraction Maximum Ferrous ION (FE++) percentage of 5 percent by weight. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement, if a requirement materializes. Based on the responses to this sources sought notice/market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition. Multiple awards may be made. All small business set-aside categories will be considered.
