Sources Sought Potable Water Services Military Ocean Terminal at Sunny Point, North Carolina This is issued solely for informational and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or firm requirement. The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) is utilizing a Sources Sought for Market Research to determine if other vendors have the capability to fulfill the requirement. This is strictly a Request for Information (RFI) for Potable Water Services at the Military Ocean Terminal at Sunny Point, North Carolina (MOTSU). No Request for Proposal (RFP) exists; therefore, responses to the RFI are not proposals to which ACC-RI can issue orders. ACC-RI is issuing this RFI to determine if an adequate of qualified interested contractors are capable of Potable Water Services at MOTCO described below. The Government will use the responses received for information/planning purpose and to identify potential sources as part of market research. DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS: 1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Water service shall be provided in accordance with Army regulations, the State of North Carolina, and Brunswick County rules and regulations for the provision of water service. 2. PREMISES TO BE SERVED: Entire base for MOTSU @ Sunny Point. 3. POINT OF DELIVERY: The point of delivery of water shall be at meter located @ HWY 133 which is the counties distribution point. 4. NATURE OF SERVICE OR CHANGE: Furnish domestic water system to provide treated potable water to entire MOTSU base. 5. ESTIMATED SEREVICE: Estimated daily maximum demand: 43,800 gal per day Estimated annual flow: 15.8 million gallons (The government is in no way obligated to delivery nor is it restricted to the above estimate) 6. RATE SCHEDULE: Water rates shall be in accordance with the approved Brunswick County rates established by BC and any other applicable rules and regulations. 7. DESCRIPTION OF WATER SERVICE Provide treated, potable water for human consumption. 8. QUALITY OF WATER SERVICE Treated, potable water suitable for human consumption. 9. TERM OF CONTRACT The terms of the contract will be defined in SF 1449. 10. METERING Water shall be measured by the meter listed above in section 3. All information received in response to the RFI marked "Proprietary" will be protected and handled accordingly. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. ACC-RI will not pay for information received in response to this RFI.
