The proposed action will require the contractor to recapitalize an additional 1,020 each M830A1 cartridges under the current M830A1 Recapitalization contract W52P1J-18-C-0005 (solicitation W52P1J-16-R-0197). The current value of this contract is $10,698,104.48. The estimate value of the current action is $2,400,000.00. CLINs involved in this action will be 0001, 0002, 0003, 0004 and 0005. The primary focus of the recapitalization is to receive the rounds from inventory, disassemble the cartridge, replace the combustible cartridge case, case base, and seal assembly. The cartridge would then be reassembled using epoxy adhesive to bond the new cartridge case to the existing case adapter/projectile using the latest configuration spring disc to assemble the cartridge case to a new case base and seal assembly. Award will be on a sole source basis to Northrup Grumman Innovation Systems in accordance with Justification and Approval (J&A) 19-106 approved on 12 September 2019. No Set-aside is used.
