Army Contracting Command- Rock Island (ACC-RI) has a requirement for 2 sets of US Army Ammunition Peculiar Equipment (APE) 1236 retorts in the base year of the contemplated five-year IDIQ with estimated quantities of 0 to 2 sets for each of the four remaining ordering periods. Quantities estimated for the APE 1400 retorts will be 0 sets for the base ordering period and 0 to 1 set for each of the remaining four ordering periods. These retorts require design, build, and acceptance test of the item fabricated in accordance with the drawings/specifications indicated within the purchase description and Technical Data Package (TDP). All technical data packages will be released with the official solicitation to interested offerors according to Distribution Statement D per DoD Instruction 5230.24, August 23, 2012. ACC-RI estimates issuance of the official solicitation on or shortly after April 15, 2022. This notice neither constitutes a Request for Quote, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. It should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose nor will the Government pay for information solicited.
