19 January 2022- Sources Sought for Splash Pad in Memorial Park, Rock Island, IL W52P1J-22-R-5022 The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island is issuing this sources sought notice for Splash Pad constr... 19 January 2022- Sources Sought for Splash Pad in Memorial Park, Rock Island, IL W52P1J-22-R-5022 The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island is issuing this sources sought notice for Splash Pad construction at Rock Island Arsenal, located in Rock Island, Illinois. This requirement is projected to use NAICS code 236220. PROJECT SUMMARY: The Rock Island Arsenal has a project to install a splash pad for children interaction with various water spraying features in Memorial Park at the Rock Island Arsenal. The work will include replacing the existing sand volley ball courts with grass, and excavating for a new concrete pad, and related buried water distribution piping. Including a below ground structure to contain a storm sewer and the splash pad water distribution system to the various interactive water spray playing features. The island potable water supply will be used and the work will include providing a dedicated water line from the island supply water piping buried near Rodman Avenue, and drainage piping from the new splash pad down to Sylvan Slough. A sidewalk will be provided from the parking lot to the Splash Pad. Install a dedicated power source. The work will include repairing the grass damaged during the installation, and the installation of benches for parents to watch while the children are playing. The contractor will be responsible for watering the new grass for a period of two months or as recommended by the seed supplier. Contractors and sub-contractors shall be licensed in Illinois according to the work they are performing. If applicable to a trade or profession, workers shall be licensed as required by local municipality or by the State of Illinois. The contractor shall be required to commence work under this contract within 30 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, prosecute the work diligently, and complete the entire work ready for use not later than 150 calendar days after the date the contractor receives the notice to proceed. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises. Interested parties should reply with their information no later than 3:00pm Central Standard Time on 26 January 2022.
