The Army Contracting Command, Rock Island Contracting Center, is seeking to identify Potential Sources who have the capability to apply phenolic coating to Government-furnished parts, as follows: Requirement: Application of Phenolic Coating to Government-supplied parts Description of Phenolic Coating Process All parts are to be cleaned per TT-C-490 Method II or III all over/Zinc Phosphate per MIL-DTL-16232 Type Z CL3 all over. Then apply one coat of phenolic baking varnish, Type II, MIL-DTL-12276E, to the inside surfaces only. Description of Government-furnished parts to be coated: Part Number 1: Disk with a diameter of 4.320” and a thickness of .156”, STEEL, SHEET, ASTM A109 TEMPER NO. 5. Part Number 2: Disk with a diameter of 3.974” and a thickness of .156” STEEL, SHEET, ASTM A109 TEMPER NO. 5.
