U.S. Army Contracting Command – Rock Island (ACC-RI) has a 5-year requirement for Gamma Radiation Sterilization Services for Bio-Consumable Products that Pine Bluff Arsenal (PBA) manufactures and it is the intent to award the requirement to Steris Corporation on a sole source basis. Solicitation W52P1J-20-Q-3033 is expected to result in a Firm Fixed Price contract with a one (1) year base and four (4) one-year evaluated option periods and it is restricted in accordance with FAR 13.501(a)(1)(i), Soliciting from a single source. The solicitation is in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The applicable NAICS code is 541380 - Testing Laboratories. The Bio-Consumable Products follow: Liquid Type I – Dosage – 5-10 kGy - Maximum Total Per Year – 2500 Cases Sample Bottle – Type II - Dosage – 5-10 kGy - Maximum Total Per Year – 40 Cases Dry Collection – Type III - Dosage – 2-5 kGy Maximum Total Per Year – 150 Cases Detergent Pack – Type V - Dosage – 5-10 kGy - Maximum Total Per Year – 60 Cases Steris Corporation has all resources/equipment, etc. to sterilize the bio-consumable products using gamma radiation in accordance with the required dosage levels for the products. In addition, bio-consumable products are required to be sterilized within 24 hours after manufacture and the location of the Steris processing facility allows sterilization within the required timeframe. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. A determination not to compete this procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
