SANS Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Annual Maintenance Fee Tokens SOLICITATION NUMBER: W52P1J-20-Q-006721 REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI): Army Contracting Command – Rock Island is issuing this RFI announcement, as required when utilizing the authority at FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements in accordance with DFARS PGI 206.302-1. This RFI is for SANS Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Annual Maintenance Fee Tokens. The Government anticipates awarding this requirement as a sole source contract with a one-year base, and three, one-year option periods to The Escal Institute of Advanced Technologies (SANS Institute). SANS Institute, 11200 Rockville Pike Suite 200, Rockville, MD, 20852-3103, CAGE 7BQD9. This effort will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. The basis for restricting competition is FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The basis for restricting competition is SANS Institute is the only known responsible source to provide SANS GIAC Annual Maintenance Fee Tokens. If another responsible source were identified, the Government would incur additional time delays and duplication of cost. SUBMISSION DETAILS: All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, product literature, or other pertinent information, such as a description of their similar GIAC Annual Maintenance Fee Tokens. The capability statement shall address how the responsible source will overcome the time delays and duplication of cost. All responses will be considered by the agency. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. However, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Your response to this RFI, shall be electronically submitted to the Contract Specialist, Kaci Christensen, in either Microsoft Word or Portable Document Format (PDF), via email kaci.m.christensen.civ@mail.mil no later than 5:00 PM CST on 29 JUNE 2020 and reference this RFI number in the subject line of e-mail and on all enclosed documents. All data received in response to this RFI that is marked or designated as corporate or proprietary will be fully protected from any release outside of the Government.
