INTRODUCTION The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify potential sources having an interest and capability to provide the following: A turn-key installation that includes equipment, access platforms, materials, installation services, and erection supervision to deliver and provide the complete installation inside a new building, of two (2) new automated metal finishing lines that include zinc and manganese phosphating, chromate conversion coatings, zinc plating, hard coat anodizing; manual systems for copper/brass brightening, stainless steel passivation, and paint stripping; and support systems including scrubber system, process water reverse osmosis system, and waste water treatment system. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 333249 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 3426. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement, if a requirement materializes. Based on the responses to this sources sought notice/market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses or procured through full and open competition.
