The Government contemplate award of a firm-fixed-price contract. Supply Description: BRAND NAME ONLY: One (1) Brand Name Only SLY, INC, Venturi B179 Wet Scrubber System Brand Name Only: Qty. 1 Sly P/N: MMA-6355-No6VENTSYS DESIGN CONDITIONS: *Please note that the inlet air volume for this application needs to be between 11,500 acfm and 15,000 acfm to achieve optimal performance from the selected scrubber size. Based on the design conditions, the scrubber will discharge a saturated gas stream of 12,900 acfm at below ambient temperature. Recommended Equipment: ? Model No. 6 Sly Venturi Scrubber and Cyclonic Separator with general dimensions as shown on accompanying data sheet and drawing. ? The pressure drop through the scrubber is estimated to be 12" WC. The actual required pressure drop will be determined by the particle size distribution and the required efficiency/outlet requirement. ? Based on the design conditions, we recommend the use of recirculated water at a flow rate of 110 gpm at 3 psig (nominal distributor pressure). For recirculation, a continuous or intermittent blowdown of the scrubbing solution at a flow rate sufficient to maintain less than 5% solids in the recirculation water is required. MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION: Venturi Shell: 10 gauge thick 304L stainless steel Separator Shell: 10 gauge thick 304L stainless steel Tank: 10 gauge thick 304L stainless steel Flanges: 3/16" thick 304L stainless steel Fittings/Piping: 304 SS Hardware: 304 SS Gaskets: Black neoprene PAINT: ? Support legs of carbon steel construction and are to be treated with SSPC-SP-3 preparation and one prime coat of Mobile Silicone Alkyd to 1-2 mils DFT and one finish coat of Mobile Acrylic Enamel to 1- 2 mils min DFT. Color: Gray. FINISHING: ? Welding standard procedures including continuous full penetration welds on the exterior. ? Weld spatter is removed but no further weld finishing is performed. ? External 304L surfaces are grit blasted to matte finish. ? Internal welds are ground smooth to 80 grit. The Venturi and Cyclonic Separator will be constructed with the following accessories: ? Vertical flanged (square) process air inlet. ? Two flanged water inlet connections below process air inlet. ? Manually adjustable Venturi throat damper to control pressure drop through scrubber. ? 90 degree flooded elbow at bottom of Venturi section to minimize abrasion. ? Threaded couplings with plugs for drain. ? Separator has 30 degree sloped bottom with flanged connection for drain ? Flanged horizontal gas outlet located near top of Separator. ? Bolted access doors in the Venturi and Cyclonic Separator ? Manually adjustable "spin" damper at the Separator inlet. ? 1 set of support saddles on both Venturi and Separator. ? 1 set of support legs to straddle the recirculation tank. RECIRCULATION TANK: 2" long x 4'-0" wide x 4'-6" high, with overflow weir, internal strainer and 45 degree sloped end for easy cleanout. Tank to be equipped with threaded connection for pump suction, drain, overflow, level control and vent line. Tank to include internal weir for solids settling and (2) 18" diameter cleanouts. RECIRCULATION PUMP: Ampco model IC+218-180TC 316SS close coupled recirculation pump with single mechanical seal, 5 HP, XPFC Class 1, Div. 1, Group D, and Class 2, Div. 1, Groups E, F, and G, Baldor 3/60/230/460 volt premium efficiency motor. Pump is rated for 120 gpm at 50 feet TDH. SYSTEM INSTRUMENTATION: ? (2) Yokogawa magnetic flowmeters to monitor the Venturi water flow and the blowdown flow. ? (3) Pressure gauges, Wika 233.53 (1) for the pump discharge line (0-60 psig) and (2) Venturi inlet water lines (0-15 psig). ? (3) Drexelbrook Point level sensors to control the water levels in the sump. ? (1) Solenoid operated brass make up water valve. ? (1) Magnehelic differential pressure gauge to monitor Venturi dP. EXHAUST FAN: Aerovent Exhaust Fan, Size 917, Arrangement No. 1, Type MHA radial wheel, Class 32, AMCA A spark resistant aluminum construction. Fan to handle 12,900 acfm at 17.5" static pressure (-4" inlet, 12" Venturi dP, 1.5" duct losses), 2277 RPM, 61 BHP at ambient temperature, saturated. Estimated sound power level 105 dBA at 5 feet.
