Army Contracting Command Rock Island - (ACC-RI) plans to issue solicitation W52P1J-19-T-3005 for a Submersible Band Saw for Decommissioning Bombs. The saw is for demilitarizing munitions (bombs, rockets, etc) for which conventional melt-out of the explosive material is not possible. The objectives include the design and manufacture of the saw and installation is at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP) located in McAlester, OK. The requirement is FOB Destination. The NAICS code assigned to this requirement is 333249 which is a size standard of 500. To receive an award, contractors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) and NAICS code 333249 must be included. A functional specification and performance work statement (PWS) are applicable to further explain the requirement. The Government anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed Price contract. ACC-RI plans to issue the solicitation no later than 20 Dec 18 and the due date for responses will be included in the solicitation.
