This is a Sources Sought Notice. This is not a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified contractors to provide services in support incorporating the capability for the Flat Panel Helmet Display Unit (FHDU) to accept 1037 line rate in addition to the normal 875 line rate that the Improved Helmet Display Unit (IHDU) uses and which was designed for the FHDU under Contract W52P1J-16-C-5010. The purpose is to allow the FHDU to be compatible with future Version 6 software for the aircraft. This effort must be able to be completed within 6 months of the potential award. Qualified contractors must hold, or be able to obtain the data rights and technical data necessary to the Apache Integrated Helmet and Display Sighting System (IHADSS) and the capability to develop an FHDU solution that integrates with the IHADSS and all of its sub-systems. The Government will use the responses received for information/planning purposes and to identify potential sources as part of market research. This document contains an attached description of the scope of work for this intended requirement. ACC-RI will use this document to publish the notices required by FAR 5.201 to determine the existence of companies that could provide the necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services needed to fulfill the requirements of the scope of work. ACC-RI requests demonstration of capability by interested parties through submittal of a brief capability statement. Interested parties should respond by providing a Capability Statement, addressing the Description of Scope of Award on the attached Sources Sought document.
