This is a notice that a solicitation is anticipated to be forth coming and will have all necessary documents, including a scope of work. IAW FAR 36.204(f), the magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Performance and Payment Bonds are required. This project consists of the regrading and paving of King Drive from the intersection of Rodman Avenue and ending approximately 1,855 feet west of the Blunt Road intersection, on the Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, Illinois. The scope includes removing the existing Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) pavement on King Drive according to the location mentioned above. Removing the existing Portland Cement Concrete (P.C.C.) islands on Rodman Avenue adjacent to Building 187 and removing approximately 550 feet of the existing HMA trail adjacent to Rodman Avenue near the existing intersection of King Drive and Rodman Avenue. The project shall include relocating the intersection of King Drive and Rodman Avenue approximately 350 feet west. A new exit lane shall be established on the west side of King Drive with the intent of campground vehicles and patrons to turnaround and exit the island. A new 10-foot HMA shared use path shall be established along the existing alignment of King Drive. The path shall terminate at Blunt Road. A portion of Blunt Road shall be reconstructed. The reconstruction shall begin at the intersection of King Drive and Blunt Road and terminate approximately 335 feet east of the intersection. This project is being constructed in coordination with a future campground to be built later. The new road is intended to increase the mobility of larger vehicles in the area in relation to the campground.
