RIA-JMTC has a requirement for the contractor to provide and install one Robotic Sand Milling Cell. This sand router cell capability will allow the Government owned foundry at RIA-JMTC to produce casting molds faster and with greater design flexibility.. This cell is part of RIA-JMTC’s modernization effort to become more effective, efficient and versatile. The cell is designed to be a stand-alone mold making system. The cell is commercially available and will include the following characteristics: cell control software, 6-axis robot, tool change station, computer aided programming package, cell safety guarding, tool inspection station, hydraulic tilting mold table, 7th axis horizontal gantry, 30 kilowatt spindle, and two weeks of startup and training. Action is restricted to Tinker Omega Santo IAW Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a)(1)(ii), Sole source under the simplified procedures for certain commercial items.
