This effort is for the LAP of the 105mm PGU- 43/B Training Cartridge, PGU-44/B HE Cartridge, PGU-45/B HE HF Cartridge, and M1 HE Cartridge for the AFSOC to support AC-130 Gunship training and tactical missions. a. The cartridge (CTG) Artillery (ARTY) 105mm PGU-43/B Training Cartridge, Department of Defense Identification Code (DODIC) CA22, National Item Identification Number (NIIN) 01-472-1854, is the AFSOC designation for the 105mm Inert Cartridge with Supplementary Charge. b. The CTG ARTY 105mm PGU-44/B HE Cartridge, DODIC CA34, NIIN 01-515-9269, is the AFSOC designation for the 105mm Cartridge (similar to the Army 105mm HE M1 (MOD) Cartridge). c. The CTG ARTY 105mm PGU-45/B HE HF Cartridge without Fuze, DODIC CA33, NIIN 01-514-8595, is the AFSOC designation for the 105mm HF Cartridge. d. The 105mm M1 HE Cartridge consists of an M14 series cartridge case, a M28B2 series percussion primer, M67 propellant charge and a hollow fragmenting projectile containing TNT, Comp B or insensitive munition (IMX-101) explosive fill.
